I BLASTER TRUCKS si sono formati a Giarratana in provincia di Ragusa nel 1991, la band nasce da un idea di Salvo Frasca chitarra solista, Giorgio Linguanti basso, François Giaquinta batteria e Giancarlo Minacapilli voce. Il nome della Band venne deciso pensando ai mastodontici TRUCKS americani che muovendosi nelle autostrade fanno pensare alla Libertà. Il gruppo inizia come cover band ispirandosi alle nuove sonorità del Grunge e dello Street Rock & Roll, non tralasciando le influenze possenti ed allo stesso tempo classiche dell' Hard Rock anni 70'. Dal 1991 al 1994 la Band si distingue in diverse rassegne rock dell'epoca, ottenendo molti riconoscimenti a livello locale, da ricordare l'esibizione a Favara alla quale si volle unire in jam session il chitarrista dei Nuclear Sinfony, le date di Palagonia, Caltagirone, Palazzolo Acreide e Marina di Ragusa, esibizioni finite sempre con il plauso della gente presente . Inoltre la Band si esibisce come gruppo spalla degli After Hours al Jester Pub di Ragusa. Nel 1994 auto producono un demo tape in inglese con 6 tracce inedite che porta l'omonimo nome della Band.Nel 1995 i vari componenti prendono strade e generi diversi,collaborando con diverse band locali per poi riunirsi nel 2005. Nella nuova formazione subentra a Salvo Frasca il nuovo chitarrista solista Sandro Vernuccio che vanta diverse collaborazioni in gruppi locali e diversi progetti in generi Rock Metal differenti. Al nuovo chitarrista solista la riformata Band affianca Giuseppe Cataldi come seconda chitarra per ottenere un sound più graffiante. Nel 2007 registrano un demo con tre brani inediti in Italiano e partecipano con un quarto brano alla compilation Ragusa Rock. Nel 2008 si rivoluziona la Formazione, dalla stessa esce Il batterista ed il chitarrista ritmico. Attualmente i componenti in essere stanno lavorando in studio per gestire un nuovo progetto in versione acustica, nello stesso tempo la Band cerca un nuovo batterista per continuare a far bruciare la strada ai nostri possenti BLASTER TRUCKS.
