Hugues Vincent (in English) Cellist/objects manipulator. Classical cello studies with Denise Cherret and jazz at Edim & Conservatory of Montreuil (France)... holder of a diploma in musicology... master classes with Sofia Domancich, Didier Levalet, Régis Huby, Vincent Courtois, Ernst Reisjeger, Barre Phillips, Joelle Léandre... Over the years Hugues Vincent collaborates with: Tilbol ; Celluloïd (w/ Franck Smith) ; Joelle Léandre "String project" ; Otomo Yoshihide "New jazz ensemble" ; David S Ware’s "ensemble à cordes" ; Bobun (w/ viola player Frantz Loriot) ; the Ska band "Le pélican frisé" ; the acousmatic trio Bolitz... he writes music for Four Roses For Lucienne (based on texts by Roland Topor)... Improvisations with: Vincent Courtois, Claude Tchamitchian, Jean François Pauvros, Luc Ex, Makoto Sato, Jean Luc Cappozzo, Itaru Oki... also works w/ in choreographic fields(Un Instant, Bernardo Montet, Chia Yin Ling... Sinces 2006 he is member of the "à géométrie variable" sound formula Qoo-ij orium... He currently works as a solo artist and acts on stage in contemporary Dance contexts and toured in different countries (Germany, Swizerland, Belgium, Holland, Italia, Spain, United-States (New York), Morocco.. ......................................... Parallèlement à des études classiques de violoncelle avec Denise Cherret, Hugues Vincent apprend le jazz à l’ édim et au conservatoire de Montreuil, obtient une licence de musicologie et un Capès musique à l’université de Paris 8 et se forme à l’improvisation au cours de stages et master class avec notamment Sofia Domancich, Didier Levalet, Régis Huby, Vincent Courtois, Ernst Reisjeger, Barre Phillips, Joelle Léandre… Il collabore a de nombreux projets dont le trio Tilbol ; le duo discographique Celluloid (avec Franck Smith, sur le label Odiolorgnette) ; le "String project" de Joelle Léandre ; le "New jazz ensemble" d’Otomo Yoshihide ; l’ensemble à cordes de David S Ware ; le duo Bobun (avec l’altiste Frantz Loriot) ; le groupe de ska "Le pélican frisé" (3 albums au compteur) ; le trio acousmatique Bolitz... il écrit la musique pour le projet Four Roses For Lucienne (sur des textes de Roland Topor) et multiplie les rencontres d’improvisation (Vincent Courtois, Claude Tchamitchian, Jean François Pauvros, Luc Ex, Makoto Sato, Jean Luc Cappozzo, Itaru Oki...). Il travaille également avec différentes compagnies de danse contemporaine (Un Instant, Bernardo Montet, Chia Yin Ling) pour lesquelles il compose ou improvise. Depuis 2006 il participe aussi à la "formule sonore à géométrie variable" Qoo-ij orium... En solo, il se produit lors d’improvisations acoustiques, électro-acoustiques (cf. le disque "Phonoscope & fabulettes") ou pour diverses créations scéniques... et s’est produit dans différents pays (Allemagne, Suisse, Belgique, Hollande, Italie, Espagne, Etats Unis (New York), Maroc... .........................................
