He is also a talented painter...Andrea Poeta a true artist! At 8 years old he begins to play the piano, at 10 years old he is admitted to the Preparatory School of Music of The Sistine Chapel, in The Vatican. The Choir he sings with, sings for the Holy Pope! He begins then his musical career. He participates to many musical reviews in the more important Basilicas of Italy and Europe, directed by Monsignor Domenico Bartolucci, Andrea gets to sing to the music of Pierluigi da Palestrina and Petruzzelli di Bari. After many concerts at La Scala of Milan and the Theatre of the Opera in Rome, the Choir of the Sistine Chapel participates to a musical review in Austria directed by Herbert Von Karajan! Andrea continues to study piano at the Conservatory of Saint Cecilia in Rome. The best time was at the Midnight Mass of Christmas Eve, TV cameras inside Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome when he was singing in front of the Pope and Millions of people around the World. Andrea teaches himself how to play the guitar and bass and with the help of his friend (G.B.) on the keyboard, starts his first musical band The Skyline! The type of music that he prefer is the POP - ROCK- ROCK PROGRESSIVE. He begins to perform with old Genesis songs and the Deep Purple but, finds his musical identity in executing pieces of the Police and Sting. Nicknamed Sting , because its voice and the way he plays the bass is nearly identical. Andrea begun to study the bass playing simultaneously with an Lp of The Police. He perform in many concerts in the province of Ancona, having lots of success. With the Skyline he participated on the competition "Fuori Tempo", winning first place for two consecutive years. Three times performing in concerts at the Barfly of Ancona! As soloist it has recorded three cd demo, Fragile “The song of Sting” - “4”, where with his voice that can change from Alex Baroni to Renga, passing to the styles of Giorgia and Elisa… and a “The Christmas album”, where he perform songs of Renato Zero - Sting - Raf and Hoobastank! In these cd Andrea has played every instruments on bases already preplayed! With the song Cambiare of Alex Baroni and Tracce di te of Francesco Renga, Andrea wins first place in a 2004 musical competition in Perugia sponsored by Radio Max. Lately he participates to concerts for fundraising interpreting songs of Alex Baroni, with remarkable success from critics and public! But, his primary plan is always to learn from others… he always says ” In life learning never ends"... Andrea has introduced music to me and he has taught me to play the Bass and I find him a true leader and a person with energy to sell…Thanks Millie......Special Thanks to my best friend MARIO BIONDINasce a Roma il 18.01.1968. Cantante, bassista, chitarrista, batterista, tastierista, percussionista, pittore... Andrea Poeta un artista puro! Inizia a 8 anni a suonare il pianoforte, a 10 anni, dopo aver fatto un provino canoro, entra a far parte del Coro della Cappella Sistina! Li inizia la sua carriera musicale.Partecipa a moltissime rassegne musicali nelle più importanti Basiliche d’Italia e d’Europa, esegue brani di Pierluigi da Palestrina diretto da mons. Domenico Bartolucci al Petruzzelli di Bari, alla Scala di Milano e al Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. Partecipa ad una rassegna musicale in Austria e viene diretto da Herbert Von Karajan! Studia Pianoforte al Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia a Roma! Come autodidatta, inizia a suonare sia la chitarra che il basso, e così fonda insieme al tastierista (G.B) gli Skyline! Lo stile che predilige Andrea è il pop - rock - rock progressive. Inizia le sue esibizioni cantando i vecchi Genesis e i Deep Purple, ma, trova una sua identità musicale e canora nell’eseguire i pezzi dei Police e di Sting. E’ soprannominato Sting perchè la sua voce e il modo in cui suona il basso sono quasi identici. Andrea mi ricordo che ha iniziato gli studi autodidattici di Basso suonando direttamente sui dischi dei Police. Si esibisce in molti locali della provincia di Ancona. Con il gruppo ha partecipato a Fuori Tempo vincendo il concorso per due anni consecutivi esibendosi per tre volte al Barfly di Ancona! Come solista ha inciso tre cd demo, Fragile " The song of Sting" - "4" dove spazia con la sua voce da Alex Baroni a Renga passando addirittura per gli stili di Giorgia ed Elisa... e un "The Christmas album" , dove interpreta pezzi di Renato Zero - Sting - Raf e Hoobastank! In questi cd Andrea ha suonato ogni strumento su basi già precampionate! Vince nel 2004 un concorso musicale a Perugia indetto da Radio Max con Cambiare di Alex Baroni e Tracce di te di Francesco Renga, partecipa ultimamente a concerti in beneficenza interpretando i pezzi di Alex Baroni, riscuotendo un notevole successo di critica e pubblico! Ma il suo progetto primario è sempre imparare dagli altri... lui dice sempre " nella vita non si finisce mai di imparare"... A me Andrea ha fatto conoscere la musica e mi ha imparato a suonare il Basso ed io trovo in lui un vero leader e una persona con un energia da vendere...
