DreRob. is an up and coming R&B artist. Born and raised in Peoria, IL, DreRob has been singing seriously since age 12. Growing up on the southside of Peoria where crime grew everyday, Dre used music to try to keep him out of trouble.It helped.. A lil bit!!! :)Artist Dre looked up to while trying to perfect his craft were New Edition, Donny Hathaway, Luther Vandross, Jodeci, and R.Kelly, just to name a few. DreRob went on to record many songs and was on numerous mixtapes and compilation albums and had a hit song playing on radio stations across the midwest called "BABY DOLL".Baby doll was a success and it got big radio play. It helped him to to get a spot on the Midwest Talent tour in 2001-2003 where he toured with numerous other artist from the midwest.. At that time, they toured big attraction cities such as Chicago, Indianaoplis,Atlanta, and New York. Also in between these times Dre has opened up for many big time acts such as Destinys Child, Case,and The Dramatics!! In 2005, DreRob auditioned for American Idol. There he was told he was "TOO STREET", What ever that means. He didnt let that discourge him. He came back to Peoria, then he auditioned for THE UNSIGNED HYPE TOUR from THE SOURCE magazine. There he made it to the finals where he was the only R&B artist to do so!!!When DreRob performs, he does it with all his heart and soul when he gets down. At most perfomances, he uses a live band. He belives that it makes the music that much better. Dre does his own music as well as cover tunes, any where from Hip-Hop, Rock, R&B and Motown for that old school feeling that everybody loves. Just recently he finished filming a movie called "Tattered Dream, in his debut acting role. DreRob says he is the self proclaimed KING OF R&B. Not saying he is Better than all R&B artist, he is just doing KING like things. So when you see him perform and listen to his music, you will see why he calls himself that. So be on the look out for Dre at the top and album to be released very soon!!!! DreRob is a guaranteed entertainer and crowd pleaser and aims to please all his music fans for many years to come..al!!!
