| Drunks with Knives Well... Here it is, a band fascinated by prejudice, alcohol, and just how to get the best edge..... The Dutch think the Belgians are stupid, the Belgians think the Dutch are cheap, like so many others think about the Scots and so on and so forth.Every country has at least one bias against each of their neighbors. It makes the world such an interesting place, doesn't it? When I moved up north, I found out that the Swedes think all Fins to be "Drunks with knives"… What the Fins think about the Swedes can not be published on myspace, but this "Drunks with knives" thing stuck some how.... Like i said, prejudice is a somehow fascinating ill. Drunks with Knives is a Helsinki based band that is grouped around singer/songwriter Hans de Lind van Wijngaarden, AkA Hansvotti. Joining him are Leo Stillman (Drums, guitar) and Taavet Vool (Bass and Pedal-Organ). In the Year 2006 Drunks with Knives started playing, and has been gradually developing. There have been ups and downs and there have been Kukka, Olli, Helmi Lauri and Jyrgen McRyger. The music spreads through many genres, but the bigger part of it is some how country-ish. The whole set is available in an acoustic version with a washtub base, or a more electric one with a distortion pedal Apart from playing music, this band is also into sailing, wich we do on the beautifull three masted schooner Kathrina I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 |
