Blowing Trees from Texas' own Alamo City is certainly the latter. While most bands spend countless hours myspace networking and staying up to date on the latest gear and fashion to attract label attention as "established" artists, Blowing Trees simply spent their time putting on unforgettable performances and making majestic music in their hometown of San Antonio before catching the attention of record industry vet Danial Glass in 2007. After an obstacle ridden performance on a rooftop in the rain at that years SXSW, Blowing Trees were signed to Glassnote records. Since, the band has caught the attention of MTV vet Matt Pinfield, who flew to their city to shoot their EPK, recorded a highly praised record which has earned them comparisons to Radiohead, the Flaming Lips, PinkFoyd, U2, and Coldplay in Magazines like Billboard who called the album "a hook-laden 12-track journey that swirls between psychedelic and anthemic.".
