About Me |
|
| I do not play well with others. I walk my own path and in general, walk alone, except for a small circle of close friends. Quality over quantity. Not only am I a mother of two beautiful daughters, but I'm a damn proud Granny! Before you read on, I am a Satanist. Deal with it or go away. Still here? In general I like being around animals more than people, Walt Whitman's, "I Think I Could Turn and Live With Animals" really sums it up for me. "I think I could turn and live with animals, they are so placid and self-contain'd; I stand and look at them long and long. They do not sweat and whine about their condition; They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins; They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God; Not one is dissatisfied—not one is demented with the mania of owning things; Not one kneels to another, nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago; Not one is respectable or industrious over the whole earth." [Leaves of Grass 32, ll.682-689] I really enjoy working with children. Their minds are so open to aquire knowledge, and it should be a crime to bind and blind that which has so much potential. I had personal experience with this when I combined my Montessori training with stratification principals. I enjoy teaching children to have pride in themselves, encourage them that the best DO rise to the top, that things which are naturally most enjoyable are not "sins", and to learn to think and make decisions for themselves and not to follow the pack (unless the pack happens to be traveling a while in the same direction). I am one of those extremely lucky people who make a comfortable living doing things I enjoy. My home is my castle, I live amongst my dogs, cats, birds, lizards, and exotic fish, surrounded by plants and fountains, and the things I love. I am a voracious reader. I am a MENSA escapee whose Myer-Briggs Personality Type ranges from INTP to INTJ. When I want to chill out, I hike alone in the Golan, snorkel with dophins in Eilat, or play in the dirt - there's always interesting excavations going on from the remains of long gone cultures. There is so much to do, so many places to explore, experiences to be had, knowledge to be absorbed - how will I ever fit it all in? A NOTE TO ALL THOSE WHO SEND INVITES: Who are YOU? I do a perfectly fine job letting you know a bit of who I am; please do not send me a page that says NOTHING about you. What is interesting about someone who can't think of anything to say about themselves either in a message or in their profile? With the myriad of info I put forth here, is it really so hard to send a note saying what you saw that made you respond? I expect all those asking to be my friend and on my friends list to be responsible, adult members of society. I will not accept members to my friends list who condone acts which are illegal in this country or the country in which that potential "friend" resides. I do not and will never condone illegal, irresponsible behavior such as using illegal drugs, committing acts of unjustified violence, drinking blood, participating in cannibalism, or anything of that nature. Please note this before asking me to be your "friend." And if you are denied by me, this is likely the reason why I have done so. Thank you. I DO NOT JOIN HAREMS!!! DON'T WASTE MY TIME. IF YOU ARE MALE AND ONLY COLLECT WOMEN I SIMPLY DELETE YOU. THIS PLACE IS PACKED WITH MYSPACE WHORES WHO APPROVE ANYONE. GO SNIFF THEM OUT. Heroes:Very few people do I regard with awe, respect or even enthusiastic admiration. One of those rare people is Anton LaVey, the few others are special people to me who may never be well-known. Hero-worship is man-worship, and people who are busy idolizing other people's lives generally don't accomplish anything themselves, and live soon-to-be-forgotten lives of mediocrity. My other hero is me. I have made myself who I am this day, I am the constant recreator of my environment. I choose who I come in contact with. All of the riches, pleasures, and accomplishments in my life comes by my hard work, intelligence, and ability to play the malleable herd of people across the gameboard of my life. I play to win. It's the nature of the beast. |
