Or Get Myspace Comments Ciao, mi chiamo Maurizio e nasco a Roma tanti anni fa…Agli inizi degli anni 70 scopro la musica rock che diventerà parte integrante e la passione della mia vita. Genesis, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Yes e naturalmente Pink Floyd, che diverrano da li a poco veri e propri idoli. Nel lontano 1973 nasceva artisticamente una giovane bassista…si una donna…un peperino di 152 cm.di nome Suzi Quatro, che faceva impazzire le platee con i suoi brani “48 crash”, "Can the can", "Devil gate drive" e che ebbe un enorme successo. Nasceva l’amore, oltre che per la grinta rock dell’artista, per lo strumento che Suzi suonava…il basso. Da quel momento in poi mi accosto, come autodidatta, allo studio del basso elettrico prendendo come riferimento pezzi grossi della storia del rock: Roger Glover, Chris Squire, Geezer Butler, jhon Paul Jones ed altri. Insieme a Diego, Andrea e Giovanni, nel 1996, formiamo gli ECHOES e dopo oltre dieci anni suono ancora con orgoglio la musica che è stata (e sicuramente lo è ancora), la colonna sonora della mia vita.....Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Live 8 ..Syd Barrett .. |
