| Cunt Butcher was spawned in 2004, as a solo bass project for Carcass Butcher, who had been looking to form an ultra-heavy metal band for a long time but was very pissed off by the number of Slipknot loving "metal bands" auditioning bass players for generic shite-metal clone bands, so he bought a drum machine and a distortion pedal and started writing. On 6-6-06 the very first demo "Kvlt Kvnt" was released, a 5 track 7 minute pile of pure shit, recorded in 4 hours at Mulgoa studios and mixed in 3 at Johnny's Farm studios with the help of a carton and 6 longnecks. This demo was followed up with another bucket of shit, appropriately titled "Enema Bucket", 2 months later. During the first public playing of "Enema Bucket" at a party, Carcass met up with a bass playing Viking named Cadbury Redbeard. One jam session later and the twin-bass assault was born! After a 6 month government funded holiday, Cunt Butcher set about recording a new demo with both basses cranking, resulting in the "Halal" demo from June 2007. The demos are available free at any Cunt Butcher gig. We are currently recording a triple EP, due for release around September 2008. The first EP will be the songs off "Halal", re-recorded with production in mind, and also called " Halal ". The second EP will be called " Kosher " and contains all the songs we had around the time we recorded the Halal demo but never got time to record them (the demo was rushed to get it mastered in time for our first public gig. Hence the complete lack of production). And the third EP, " Vegan ", will contain all the songs written since about August/September last year. All three EPs will be pressed in a limited edition run of 666 copies only and will be released on a mini-disc. Once they run out, you will only get CD-Rs with no covers or lyrics, so make sure you get in quick! If you like your music with lots of widdly-diddly wanky guitar solos, oh-so-evil atmospheric keyboards and dungeons and dragons/we-suck-his-infernal majesty's-big-goat-cock type lyrics then this music definitely isn't for you, and if you're easily offended then you really should fuck off right now to the wiggles website, but if you enjoy drinking, taking drugs (both natural and chemical), watching porno, violent moshing, getting fucked up, fighting, and any and all forms of sexual deviancy, and all the other important things in life, then give us a listen, get your arse to one of our gigs, and get fucked up with us! |
