About Me

As a kid growing up in suburban Atlanta I was very active in a variety of sports. Baseball, football, soccer and track and field occupied most of my time. I enjoyed all sorts of outdoor activities. My father was an accomplished track and field athlete and I aspired to be like him. Unfortunately he wouldn¹t let me train with him until I reached high school. When I entered high school I fell in love with playing football. Of course my football training included weightlifting. I excelled at football and became a top rated high school fullback in the state of Georgia. During football off-season I started competing in power lifting meets. Strength came easily for me and I won the Teen National Championship in power lifting in 2004. After graduating from high school I continued training but had not yet made a decision on my future. While training at the gym one afternoon I met my current trainer/nutritionist, Daniel Stuckart. Daniel asked me if I would ever be interested in bodybuilding. I had considered it but never seriously. After talking it over with Daniel I decided to enter the Georgia State Bodybuilding show and see how I would finish. I took second place in the teen division and second in the open class(Super heavyweight). Two weeks after this I went to Teen Nationals where I placed third in the Heavyweight division. I was extremely disappointed in my placing. From that moment on I knew what I had to do. I felt that not winning those shows was the worst feeling I had ever experienced. It made me stronger mentally. I dedicated myself solely to the bodybuilding lifestyle. With the help of Daniel, I revamped my off season diet and training. Remember, when I did my first couple of shows I had only been training my arms and back for a couple of months. I still trained like a power lifter not a bodybuilder. So I took all of 2006 and worked my upper body to match my lower. I then enter the NPC Excalibur in California. I felt that I accomplished a great deal over that year bringing up my upper body. I was rewarded with the Super Heavyweight and Overall Title of the show. Then came my first photo and video shoot with Muscular Development. I was on the cover of the March 2007 issue. I¹m taking all of 2007 to refine my physique more to compete on the National Level in 2008. I've also signed with BSN in March of 2007. Thanks for taking the time to read and find out more about me. Look for me at the 2008 JR. Nationals and then the USA.
