About Me |
|
| In the spirit of classic female vocal groups from the Brill Building era, the Motown heydays, and beyond, we seek to rejuvinate an appreciation for the golden era of female pop. We are influenced by the sounds of Phil Spector production, classic girl groups, blue eyed soul, northern soul, Motown, British and French female pop, early 60s teeny pop, and even bubblegum psych. Our favorite artists span from the Shirelles to Lori Burton to Jackie DeShannon to the Flirtations to Dusty Springfield to Sylvie Vartan and back. We shun kitsch and embrace the integrity of some of the best hip shaking, back tingling, and soul rocking pop music ever made. Three unique female vocalists front the group and are backed by a group of kick ass rock and soul powerhouse musicians, all of them hailing from sweet ass Chicago. | |
