Born, bred and still living in Norfolk, UK, which is a great place to live.Educated at Worstead Primary School, UK and at Paston Grammar School North Walsham, UK.Married to Tina, have 2 grown up children and am working for a law firm in Norwich, UK.Progressive rock is my number one taste in music, although I also enjoy a great deal of folk, country and generally any good rock music. There is a heck of a lot of hidden talent out there !Try to get to as many music gigs as possible, although other committments, wife and finances often dictate otherwise !Follow the fortunes of Norwich City FC, who have just been relegated to division one (3rd tier in English Football). Hopefully we will bounce back this season - but it will be an immensely difficult task !I have a few dislikes as follows :- Imbeciles who talk at gigs whilst the artist/band is playing (what is the point of them being there when they might as well rabbit on at home or in a pub). Caravans (although the band of the same name is great !). Personalised number plates. Arrogance. Smoking (I used to be a smoker but gave up in 1977). Rap and drum/bass music (perhaps I am missing the point but it's not really music at all). Boy/girl bands (how can they be called bands when they play no instruments whatsoever). Radio stations who don't give new upcoming rock bands airplay (particularly the huge number of superb progressive bands out there) and just stick to the same old commercial format.My dream job would be to have my own rock programme on a radio station with a massive catchment area and play some of the great artists that are around but never get aired. Just listen to some of the samples that some of my MySpace friends have on their sites and you will see exactly what I mean !! |
