| Memories From The Constant Journey:Excuse Me! Nothin' But The BLUES! I'm a poor boy from the next door. 1954 when I was 12 years old my hard working beloved father died accidentally at the age of 33. I never forget that sad day and night. My mother never got over it. That time I did'nt see nothing good or meaning in this. I'm still getting mad when I start thinking about it. There was also some joy in the year 1954: Bill Haley & His Comets w. "Rock Around The Clock" (over 25 million copies sold) changed the world. My own favorite was "Rock A Beating Boogie" - in fact, a 12-bar Blues. After a while I heard Little Richard..s "Tutti Frutti" and I was sold! I'm sure all this influenced my taste of good music - no polished shit. I like more or less sad and longin' songs - Chicago Blues with the good beat that goes on. Like John Lee Hooker said, The Blues is a healer. | |
