Intense Swiss Blackened Thrash with progressive influences - Stoned Hill was founded in the year 2000 by Jaenu and Schmüdu. The first year was an important period for the members, to get clear about their interests, motivation and points of view - which lead to a extension of the line-up one year later. Wild was considered to be the perfect drummer for this extraordinary band while two other members were laid off. By taking these measures, the trio was able to reestablish Stoned Hill completely. With Felipe as a new Bassman, first gigs could be performed in 2001 and a first demotape (selftitled) was recorded in the Dragonslayer-studios. Unfortunately, Felipe had to leave in 2002 - he was replaced by Hannes, while finally, a second guitarist was found. Schwab. After intense songwriting and rehearsal-marathons, the second longplayer "Arising of utter darkness" began to shape up. It was recorded in the Headline Studio in Deitingen and first released in 2005. To be able to concentrate more on his main band Forgotten Chaos, Hannes quit in 2006. A session-bassplayer replaced him temporarily, until, just released from his service in the army, Phil joined. With Thömu, who took the vacant guitar-position, Stoned Hill was finally complete again and ready to unleash their infernal vision of Blackened Thrash Metal. With the german Independent-company Fullmoon Funeral Productions, competent support was found to prepare things necessary for the coming release in 2008. In March 2008, Stoned Hill decided to move on without Phil. -- Phil, we wish you all the best for the future and a big THANK YOU for the funny time we had. -- With Mike they found a new/old bassplayer. He already played 2 gigs with Stoned Hill back in 2007, just before Phil joined. Now the band is looking forward to record the new album and play some shows at the end of 2008.
