| Hello my friends or soon to be friends. Here is what you need to know about me. First and foremost I am trying to live my life the way God intended it to be. Sometimes it can be hard but I know that He has everything under control and nothing happens outside His will. Sometimes I worry too much about things that are outside my control and things that are in my control and need to learn to let things go. That sort of brings me as to why I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. See I grew up in a suburb of Grand Rapids, Michigan and I never had any intention of leaving. But graduation from college came, I needed a job, and I got one out here. Needless to say I was not happy being so far away from my family and friends. I was ready to quit my job and move back, but then God put someone special into my life. Then six months later, would you look at that, I was married to the love of my life, Jennifer. She is my one and only, literally and figuratively, and I love her more than I thought you could love another person. The best part is the new family that comes along with being married. Her parents are great and they treat me like their own son. I have a new brother and sister and a little niece. My parents and brothers and sisters also love Jennifer as much as if she were blood, which is how it is supposed to be. We just have one big happy family. I do wish that some day we could live closer to my family in Michigan. I miss eveyone and I especially miss seeing my little sisters grow up. Outside family being so far away, life is pretty good. Cubicle life is pretty good, especially the fact that I get three day weekends every week. Even though work isn't always the most fun, I have made some great relationships and it gets the bills paid. I have also met some great people through my church, Desert Springs Church. The teaching is sound and I am learning a lot about God and His plans for my life. I also teach first grade Sunday school while regular school is in session. It is a blast to see little kids wanting to learn about God and me being able to teach them and help them along in their young faith. I'd like to meet:Any of the heroes of faith. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, there are people in that book which would be amazng to meet and talk to. Imagine being able to go back and talk to Moses and see what it was like to talk to God or being in the crowd of 5,000 when Jesus broke fish and bread and fed everyone there and then had left-overs, that would be absolutely amazing. I think that I would also like to meet C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and the other Inklings at "The Eagle and Child" pub and sit in on some of their Tuesday night discussions. |
