| De band werd opgestart in 2006 door Tom, Bart en Kurt vervoegden de band en wat later volgde Dries. Vanaf begin 2007 zijn we gestart met het spelen van eigen nummers die worden geschreven door Bart en Kurt.
Voorlopig nog een beetje zoekende naar de juiste sound, en een degelijke opnamemanier! De enige mogelijkheid die we tot op heden hebben om onze muziek op,te nemen is door middel van één microfoon centraal geplaatst in de repetitieruimte. De plannen worden sterker om tegen het najaar toch eens een studioopname te maken. Veel van de sound gaat verloren door een slechte opname. Oorspronkelijk waren deze opnames enkel gemaakt om onze fouten te horen maar door de toenemende vraag van de gezamelijke kennissenkring hebben we dan toch maar besloten ze op deze manier on-line te plaatsen. Betere opnames volgen binnenkort. Contact the band: contact@thelemelins.be The band was founded in 2006 by Tom who wanted to play with other musicians in order to make some progress in his drum skills. Bart, the rhythm guitar player, was the first members to join the group. A few months later Kurt came to play the lead and solo guitar followed by Dries who plays the Bass guitar. We started to play our own songs at the beginning of the year 2007. The songs will be written by Kurt and Bart. At the time being we are still searching for the right sound and a decent way of recording our songs! We are now recording the songs by one microphone standing in the middle of our studio. Because of the bad sound quality of our songs we are planning to record our songs in a recording studio at the end of this year. We will put some better stuff on-line at the end of this year! Het komt erop aan door middel van die invloeden een eigen sound te bekomen. Als we dan toch namen moeten noemen: John Cougar Mellencamp, The Skids en Big Country... en nog zo vele anderen. Eigenlijk elke band die een eigen sound weet samen te stellen en eigenwijs zijn ding doet in de eerste plaats om er zelf plezier aan te beleven.
