| Jon Mulvey, born in Los Angeles, Cal. started playing guitar at 7 years old, began formal classical and Jazz guitar training at 11, and started touring internationally at 15. After coming to the bay area to finish a degree in music composition, Jon was accepted as a student by Joe Satriani and studied with Joe for over 3 years. Jon has extensive session experience with over 1500 recordings since the age of 16, on which he has either played guitar, bass, and keys, engineered, produced, or mastered.After almost 10 years as a member of Mingus, With Dorian Mingus, son of the great Jazz Bassist/Composer Charles Mingus. Jon started the Catapult/Catastrophe Music Label with business partner, and band mate Cat Mclean selling over 100.000 units world wide. Jon is currently touring with Cat Mclean in support of Heart, Peter Frampton, The Tubes, Robbin Trower, Montrose. and others. | |
