| Welcome. I'm a writer and have been a selecta ;) I did spin at the Blue Room several years ago. Blue had a blue banner outside but not much else was blue colored about it. Yet it always conveyed the corresponding vibe to the music. The music was Nujazz, Dub & House and everyone gravitated toward and glided through Blue as if programmed to. Its two floors were made of dark wood and an attic looking up and down 18th St. It even smelt chilled and cool as a pilsener. I played there midweek in the evenings; short sets with many Djays with a vibe around midnight that was like an opiate. | |
