Music is the bridge between Premo and his fans. “I center my music composing around my vibe and music just intensifies it,” he says. Songwriting, for Premo, is an amplification of his soul and so he always follows his heart when creating new tunes. It makes for music that is natural, unforced, and which honestly reflects the artist. Individuality is another foundational element of Premo’s music. Dedication, too. Premo believes in making music that is truly one’s own and in making sure one’s voice is heard. Be original and be strong. His lyrics are centered on his own life experiences. “My former lifestyle always happens to find its way back to me,” say Premo. He’s in love with life and everything about it and the dynamics of life that envelope him are a perennial source of motivation and inspiration. “I love the world and its people and how they deal with situations and make things happen.” His study of people and life are filtered through his own eyes, resulting in music that is as universal as it is personal. Premo keeps his skills sharp by freestyling any chance he gets. “I constantly find myself freestyling to myself,” he says. “Like any other lyricist, I carry a pen and pad.
