&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspYevgen iy Vostokov was born in Tambov, Russia in 1959. His father Orest was a Civil Aviation Executive, and their family moved throughout the former Soviet Union several times till 1966, when they finally settled in Chisinau, Moldova.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspYevgen iy was a talented young man, who was not afraid of any challenges he has had to face in his life. He showed an interest in chess and began taking lessons in 1970. In 1972 Yevgeniy became a youth champion of the Soviet Union as a member of his school team.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspSoon after, music became his new passion. He took an entrance exam for a school of music, and was awarded a place in a Violin class. However, he wanted to play a guitar, and his parents wanted him to play piano. Being a stubborn Russian in a stubborn family, he ended up not taking any music classes. His passion did not fade. Over the next few years Yevgeniy taught himself to play guitar.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspMathem atics were always easy for him. After graduating high school in 1976, he attended Kishinev State University, which he graduated from in 1981 with a Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics. Since then, he makes his living working in software development business.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspIn 1994 Yevgeniy immigrated to the United States with his wife and son, and became a Michigan resident.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspYevgen iy wrote his first song as a teenager, but released his first album “soft dreams” recently in 2007. It’s better late, than never; and more to come!
