About Me |
|
| Buddy's earliest musical memories include listening to New Orleans Jazz at night on the radio with his dad on station WNOE (before they had a tv set), and sharing hot oatmeal at breakfast with his sister listening to Eddy Arnold's radio show which opened each day with "Cattle Call". Like most teenagers growing up in the Piney Woods of East Texas, he soaked up all the rock and roll, blues, and country music he could absorb. Today, as a songwriter, all these influences blend together into what he calls simply "Texas Music". Listeners can pick up the sound of these many influences in his songs. Writing under the name, Dead Possum Music (a take-off on the name of his former chili cooking team), Buddy writes songs for others to record and perform. Those interested in recording Buddy's songs can contact him at deadpossummusic@yahoo.com Please give these songs a listen and enjoy. | |
