On the 23 of september 2007, an artistic installation has celebrated in Paris, France, the 50th year of publication of On the Road, the mythical book by Jack Kerouac. During the afternoon and all night long, we have organized with Alain Dister Memory Babe, A Tribute To Jack Kerouac, an artistic installation including films, music, photography, films, lectures, text and...You Tube, Myspace, to enlight this great american writer, at the Cabaret Pirate, in front of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France This installation is now on the road and we want to find new places to settle it. If you run a gallery, a cultural place everywhere in the world, we'll be happy to come and celebrate Jack with you. Let us know ! You can still participate to this Tribute to Jack Kerouac by: - sending to Jack a postcard, a poem, a song, a picture, a letter from all around the world ( adress: "To Jack Kerouac" / À 360 / 5, avenue Milleret de Brou / 75016/ Paris / France ) - filming a video on the road, where you're, everywhere in the world, upload it on youtube (or any other site) and send us the adress of your video. This video will be inclued in Jack's channel (http://www.youtube.com/tribute2kerouac) and projected during the installation. - adding Jack to your myspace friend All your contributions, videos, mails, letters, will be displayed in the installation. Some pictures of the Tribute to Kerouac in Paris : MEMORY BABE Hommage à Jack Kerouac Mémory Babe est un projet itinérant d'Arnaud Contreras et Alain Dister, conçu pour célébrer les 50 ans de la publication de Sur la route, le livre mythique de Jack Kerouac. Composé d'une installation multimédia d'Arnaud Contreras, d'une exposition photo d'Alain Dister, de lectures-concerts, de performances et de dédicaces, Memory Babe se veut une immersion dans l'univers de Jack Kerouac et de la Beat Generation. Il a été présenté pour la première fois le 23 septembre 2007, au Cabaret Pirate (ex-guinguette), à Paris, France, juste en face de la Bibliothèque Nationale de France. Vous pouvez découvrir toutes les photos de cette première étape de Memory Babe en cliquant là ++++ Memory Babe est maintenant sur la route et recherche des terres d'accueil ( festivals, lieux culturels, médiathèques, municipalités...) pour + d'infos et une réservation écivez-nous. Participez à Memory Babe ! - En réalisant une vidéo sur la route, où que vous soyez dans le monde; mettez là sur internet, sur le site de votre choix (Youtube, daily motion...) et envoyez-moi l'adresse où je puisse la consulter.
