| BCA is the catalyst for cultural arts development in Brevard County. The Board of County Commissioners designated BCA as the official local arts and cultural affairs council in 1984. BCA was established in 1975 to promote arts and culture along the Space Coast, and strives to ensure the arts are acessible to residents of, and vistors to, Brevard County, Florida.BCA serves artists, organizations, and the community. It is responsible for long-range cultural planning, managing the Brevard County Community Cultural Grants program, and coordinating its Art in Public Places Program.What does BCA do?Artists and art organizations find BCA assistance invaluable through a comprehensive website, programs that employ qualified artists, and workshops to benefit local cultural organizations and artists.BCA provides timely event news and information for Brevard residents and tourists through its colorful website, various publications, and a 24-hour ARTSline, (321) 690-6819.Collaboration with Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department has resulted in youth arts education programs employing area artists.
