Laced with both liltiing melodies and ear-crushing rhythms, Brainerd has earned their reputation as musical pugilists skating on thin ice while hammering the upbeat until it breaks. Preaching the gospel of the streets. They conquer subject matter diverse as multiple suicides, ghosts, one-legged-bartender-hookers and five-legged-dogs. Brainerd is not for the squeamish and never has been. Straight-up rock and roll from the crooked side of the street, dope-sick, heart-broke, and sick of life with a silver lining, a tinge of hope.
