Heroes:If we are talking about someone that saved me and is a hero to me...my grandmother is most definately my hero. She was a hero to many many people. I am sure many of them never even knew it. She worked in polio and tuberculosis wards as a nurse. She tended to the mentally ill, and terminally sick. She came home and raised her grandchildren without complaint or a harsh word ever said. She gave of herself and her world. She went hungry and cold to make sure we were fed. I never saw her wear a cape or fly, but she is the true hero in my life. I will never forget. |
