Vale a band originally conceived in 2003 with the intention of bringing back the melodies of 1980’s brit pop and new wave. With these values in mind a solid group of musicians came together in 2005 to make this a reality. The band is; singer guitarist Dave Johnson, guitarist Dillon Fuller, bass player Brian Fritz, and Drummer John Haddad. Vale blends the melodies of the Cure, the pop sensibilities of U2, and rock elements of “The Bends” era Radiohead. Vale has spent the past two years making their mark in the Orange County music scene, playing nearly every local venue, with such bands as Decca Tree, Rocco DeLuca, and Elefant. Their most recent accomplishment has been performing a west coast tour with New Model Army visiting all major cities on the way. Dislocate the Heart, the band’s new EP runs the gambit from rock to dance and encapsulates the varying moods that make up Vale. The band looks to take their music beyond the streets of Southern California by using the ideas’ that brought them together, bringing the melody and sincerity back to music.
