| I am a singer/songwriter musician living in Pittsburg, Kansas, USA---I have been influenced by various forms of music since I was very young---amRadio & church music were some of my earliest mucial rememberances---My folks always had some type of music playing in the house or they had the radio playing when we were in the car, so music was going on whenever I was around--I couldn't help but start absorbing all of those old great toons--the folks exposed me to alot of different musical stuff: classical, swing, comedy, country, pop, some '50's r'n'b---even a little jump blues now & then---all when I was barely kneehigh to a sprout!---those influences have helped to more or less guide my intuition throughout my entire playing career---I got my fundamental bass playing act together in high school---from there I went on to college, and I started playing in bands while attending college---I supported myself thru my college years by playing gigs in local area bands, doing studio work & teaching lessons---after several years of road gigs & moving around, I moved back home & settled down in my home town---I stay active in the local music scene playing in local festivals, nightclubs, concerts, & other events---I play guitars, basses & percussion, as well as sing---As the years have passed by, I've had a few gigs backing up some touring recording artists, such as The Byrds Celebration, Brewer & Shipley, Janie Fricke, the Judds, Merle Haggard, Razzy Bailey & others---I currently work with a few local bands and some individual entertainers, and you can check all of them out in my photo albums, plus several photos of other bands and miscellaneous musical situations that I've been involved with over the years---there are also pictures of a few special events, charity/benefit concerts & parties that are located there---as my life keeps moving forward, so does my music---in the late 1980's through 2000 or so, I wrote, produced & recorded 8 cd's of my original music that I called the 'Archive' series, spanning everything from roots-rock gems to blues, country, light jazz, Adult Contemporary, Risque, very light metal/hard rock, old school R/B, ballads, experimental & even a little elevator music---I am currently working on a new CD project & hope to release it sometime this year, here on my Myspace page & on i-Tunes---spending time with my family & good friends & making music with my fellow musicians is a way of life for me & I wouldn't change any of it---well, maybe the bbq sauce---Hey, it ain't nothin' but a party, so stay tuned for further developments--- | |
