| Welcome
To Club Badd! Club Badd is the name of New York nightclub legend Larry Tee’s upcoming album that features some of the world’s most over-sized personalities and has much more in common with the You Tube generation than it does yesterdays’ dance music compilation. With appearances by Princess Superstar, Perez Hilton, Amanda LePore, Herve’, Sébastien Léger, Tomboy, Princess Julia, Christopher Just, Mel Merio, Jeffree Star, and 7-year-old video star Amanita, it is by far the most outrageous collection EVER! The Club Badd assault starts with the April 28th UK single release of his collaboration with Princess Superstar called “Licky.” Already a chart hit in Germany and Australia, it features slamming mixes by Hervé, Vandalism, Sébastian Léger, Lutzenkirchen, Kris Menace, Product.01, and Act Yo Age. It has been played by everyone: Justice, Pete Tong, Erol Alkan, Armand Van Helden, Laurent Garnier, Judge Jools, Junior Sanchez (it’s on his latest compilation) and Steve Aoki (on his top 20 Billboard Electronic Album Chart dance compilation also, BTW!). Club Badd, which is to be released this summer, is not only a dance party album extrodinaire, but it also sums up Larry Tee’s totally twisted vision! Larry Tee hails from Atlanta, Georgia where he was friends with REM and his first group, the Fans, produced the B-52s’ first independent single “Rock Lobster/52 Girls.” He moved to NYC with fellow Atlantans RuPaul and Lady Bunny and quickly took over the NYC club scene with his epic party Love Machine. He started and named the infamous DISCO 2000 of Party Monster movie fame, DJ’ed the ROXY weekly, and co-wrote the Billboard Top 40 song Rupaul’s “Supermodel (You Better Work).” In 1997 Larry Tee decided to get clean from drugs and alcohol and decided to re-examine his life and career. He turned to music for inspiration and championed a new sound and movement which became the Electroclash phenomena. He created the term “Electroclash” for his festivals in 2001/2002 (it’s in the Oxford English Dictionary) which helped launch the careers of Scissor Sisters, Felix Da Housecat, 2 Many DJs/Soulwax, Peaches and many more. In 2007, Larry launched an international music festival in NYC called the Dance Music Invasion 2007. This festival brought together everyone from Loco Dice to Lil’ Louie Vega to Kele from the Bloc Party to Princess Superstar. This was the beginning of a yearly event devoted to bringing more awareness to electronic music in the US and continued Tee’s tradition of supporting up-and-coming artists. Fast forward to 2008 and we see Larry Tee traveling all over the world bringing his unique sound and exclusive tracks to festivals and cool nightclubs worldwide. New videos for “Licky”, “I Love U” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqgC6VYwH3M), and Amanda LePore’s “My Pussy” as well as irresistibly sick video shorts created by Larry Tee and friends will be released on larrytee.com and youtube.com each week starting in April leading up to the release of the “Licky” smash! The next single, "I Love U," featuring 7-year-old Amanita has already been remixed by Bart B More, Christopher Just, The Bulgarian, and Funky Junction and is already scheduled for release worldwide. Join Club Badd and make 2008 the international Year of the Party People!! |
