Delusive Dawn wurde 2001 von sechs Musikern ins Leben gerufen. Obwohl stilistisch von Anfang an im Death Metal verwurzelt, sollte ein gehöriger Schuss Melodie Akzente setzen. Nach einer Reihe erster Auftritte erschien 2002 die EP „Resistance Is Futile“, welche nicht nur wegen der geringen Auflage schnell vergriffen war. In den folgenden Jahren sammelten Delusive Dawn auf zahlreichen Konzerten viel Live-Erfahrung. Bis heute bestritt man u.a. mit Bands wie Disillusion, Manos, Golem, Darzamat, Debauchery, Disbelief, Agathodaimon, Belphegor oder Graveworm gemeinsame Gigs. Im Laufe der Zeit ergaben sich stilistische Veränderungen, die erstmals auf der 2004 erschienenen Single „Off The Dark“ (Halls Of Hidden Hate) zu hören waren. 2005 wurde eine zweite EP aufgenommen, die aber nicht für den Verkauf sondern nur für Promotionzwecke gedacht war. Mehrere Besetzungswechsel in der Folgezeit bedeuteten dann jedoch einige organisatorische Engpässe in puncto Live-Präsenz, taten der bereits angedeuteten musikalischen Weiterentwicklung der Band aber keinen Abbruch. Im Zuge der Veränderungen musste das Keyboard immer komplexeren und härteren Riffs weichen. Ebenso verzichten Delusive Dawn seit dieser Zeit komplett auf weiblichen Gesang. Ende 2006 übernahm Giacomo die vakante Position am Gesang und komplettierte damit das aktuelle Line-Up, welches auf dem 2008 erschienenen Debütalbum "Enter The Gates" zu hören ist. Geboten wird heute abwechslungsreicher Death Metal, der sich hören und sehen lassen kann. Delusive Dawn was formed in 2001 by six people who wanted to perform Death Metal. From the very first they created a style which was heavy but also very melodic. After a number of first gigs the EP “Resistance Is Futile” was released in 2002. The feedback was amazing and so the record was sold out very quick. During the following years Delusive Dawn gained experience by playing many shows – till this day with bands like Disillusion, Manos, Golem, Darzamat, Debauchery, Disbelief, Agathodaimon, Belphegor or Graveworm. IIn the course of time style changes occurred and could be heard on the single “Off The Dark” (Halls Of Hidden Hate) from 2004. A new demo for promotional purposes was recorded and released in 2005. At the same time some line-up changes were pending, so the band couldn’t play many shows. The musical development wasn’t retarded by these circumstances. The songs reached a higher level in complexity and heaviness. The keyboard and the female vocals were omitted from this time forth. In the autumn of 2006 Mo took over the vocals and completed the current line-up which can be heard on “Enter The Gates” - the first full-lenght album (2008).
