Rafael Quevedo, Cuban, resides in Argentina since 1994. Composer and singer. Founder of La Nueva Trova Cubana. Born and raised in Santiago de Cuba. Moved to Havana where he lived since 1980 to 1992. Then on tour to Rio de Janeiro from 1992 to 1993 and established in Mendoza, Argentina, since 1994. Author of more than 300 songs, one CD recorded in Argentina, independent production: "ALASDENTRO" and many other songs recorded and sung by different artists. Next CD soon to be released "AUNQUE TE DIGA TODO". ("Even If I Tell You All") His influences come from La Trova Cubana, The Beatles, el Son, La Guajira, Rock, Blues, Bossa, Guaracha, Tango, etc, etc. His compositions, according to critics, are pure poetry. Tiene alrededor de 300 canciones, un CD editado en Argentina, producción independiente “ALASDENTRO” y canciones desperdigadas en discos colectivos u otros intèrpretes. Està a punto de sacar su segundo CD “AUNQUE TE DIGA TODO”. Su música nace de la Trova Cubana + Los Beatles y entronca con el son, la guajira, el rock, blues, el bossa, la canción, la guaracha, el tango etc. etc. Sus textos -según sus amigos- tienen una fuerte carga poética.
