Music:lately i find the ringing in my ears to be fairly interesting. i don't meditate very much, but if i did i would practice nada yoga where you plug your ears with your fingers and sit and listen to the 10 anahata ("unstruck") sounds in your head.other than that, i don't listen to much music anymore, just in the car where i listen to oldies and sing along at top volume: shellac, velvet underground, cat power, don caballero, radiohead, chet baker, keith jarrett, etc. lame right? oh yeah, just remembered - one of my favorites of all time: Private Parts by Robert Ashley (and when i was very very young i loved the beach boys: first concert = atlanta fulton county stadium, nose-bleed section [now a parking lot for the new stadium]) and actually, i really really really enjoy hearing the music of several of my friends, some super talented mo-fo's and composers (just cuz you're not on this list don't mean i don't love your music - this is just a glimpse...): raven "big balls" chacon, mark so, bob bellerue, david kendall, albert ortega, liam mooney, ben davis, michael pisaro, maile colbert, cat lamb, adam fong, kraig grady, corey fogel, ezra buchla, lewis keller, johnny chang, joseph kudirka, and so on.......... |
