| Doctor Psychedelic has come out of retirement, and formed a new band called "Monks From Mars."He comes to this point in his musical career, after a rather checkered past, filled with mind-expanding substances, hallucinatory revelations, and an aborted attempt to be the next Anthony Robbins. Although Doctor Psychedelic paid his dues early on in the usual garage band jamming sessions, furiously shaking his hair extensions while wailing on the guitar, he became restless for new horizons. He felt it was his Spiritual Duty to explore every pharmaceutical concoction possible, in order to learn what his true life purpose could be. Armed with the Physician's Desk Reference as his Bible, he began with the letter "A" for Ativan and doggedly worked his way down to "Z" for Zoloft, in his noble quest for enlightenment.One day while in the midst of a particularly lucid vision, where he was playing five dimensional chess with a Pleiadian outside the Alcyone library, it hit him. Earth people had way too many hang-ups! They were frightened by just about everything, and in order to cope, they quickly became addicted to a wide variety of things, from food to household electronics, just to help them forget how frightened they were. Doctor Psychedelic realized that if he could help the people of Earth get rid of their addictions, they could face their fears, ease their minds, and tune into a much more peaceful groove with the Cosmos. He had found his calling!After a bumpy bout in Detox, he entered a monastery of Hawaiian Monks living in Haleakala Crater to search his soul again. Tanned, and smelling faintly of Coppertone, Doctor Psychedelic decided to go back to his musical roots. He composed songs that stimulated each chakra of the human body, with specific tones that would open them enough to connect mankind to the universe. His music has been hailed by gurus the world over, as the most effective way to enlighten the mind, cleanse the soul, clear up acne, and become One with the Infinite. And they've got a beat and you can dance to 'em too!So now, without further ado, please explore the Musical Experience that is MONKS FROM MARS!!!! | |
