| We're Not a Garage Band ! We're a Bedroom Band ! The vortex creates, the chaos permeates. In the synoptic space, sound objects are calculations from the creations of the vortex - a vortex that uses the chaos as a zeitgeist to materialize ideas, patterns, emotions and music. With the devolution of the electronic environment, the vortex is superseding a point where it will be free from the chaos to transcend immersions into the machinations of the delphonic space as supreme sounds. The Fung-ku’s proto-art, in the age of electronic and mechanical production, contains lots of minimal musical engines (also refered to as soundtoys) that leads the listener to make incredible audio and sometimes visual experiences in a mental journey to their unknown sci-fi universe. Measuring chains, constructing realities. Putting into place forms. A matrix of illusion and disillusion. A strange attracting force. So that a seduced reality will be able to spontaneously feed on it. The Fung-ku’s Surf Music and Psychobilly's work investigates the nuances of vibrations through the use of fast motion and close-ups which emphasize the mechanical nature of digital media. They explore abstract, surf, kustom culture, sci-fi and steampunk sceneries as motifs to describe the idea of hyper-real space. Working hard at their Home Made Self Pleasure Studios, using hardcore loops, cathode rays, strange instruments & devices, old movies samples and allegorical images as patterns, The Fung-ku’s creates strange meditative environments which suggest the expansion of space... As they say: ”We pay no taxes ! Our imagination is a goddamn cancer and we'll pork it before it porks us ! We bend our genes and whittle our DNA with the sheer force of our mighty will ! Our imagination is a fucking cancer and we'll pork it before it porks us ! But - yip, yip, yeeeeeee ! - let the heathen hindoos bear witness ! Our physical type cannot be classified by science, our familiar is the triceratops, we feed it false prophets ! We’ve sired Gods across China, We cook and eat our dead ! Yee haw ! We’re the unshaven thorn tree of Asia ! We have triple noses, we were sired by Mother Nature, give us all your slack ! We’re the last remaining lo-fi band, we’re not insane ! We'll freeze your spew before it hits the bathroom tile ! Yes, we’re the purple flower of Hong Kong, give us wide berth. When we drop our drawers, Jesus swoons !
