Eye Rock Inc. was formed in July of 2007 by Austin musician Nick Garza. While trying to find a way for his band to sell songs individually at his shows, he thought of Eye Rock Inc. Nick thought it would be a good way to help out other bands to do the same. As of this year CD sales are down by 20 percent and digital single sales have risen. www.eye-rock.com will be a new way for bands to sell music. Nick's band was signed to a small independent label that was very strict about the band selling the cd's for $10. A lot of the time, the fans would want to buy an album but only had $4 or $5. This ended up in a disappointed fan and a lost album sale. Most independent artists sell the majority of their music at their live performances, and rely on selling albums sometimes just to get to the next city. In efforts of being environmentally friendly, Eye Rock's servers are powered by Green Energy. In addition, we are using 100% post consumer recycled card stock to print our download cards on. These cards will help reduce waste, and can be recycled again. With Eye Rock Inc. bands can sell individual songs at their performances with custom download cards and online at www.eye-rock.com. Fans get the flexibility to purchase only the songs they can afford or only the songs that they like. Sometimes people only have $2 or $3, and sometimes they only like 2 or 3 songs. Eye Rock Inc. is a company dedicated to being an outlet for artists of any status to sell their music online and offline, as well as being a place to find new music. |
