| I will always be an athlete. Played 3 sports in High School and I played football at Cal from 90-93. Sometimes I would prefer to watch a good football game (empahsis on good) and drink a glass of wine rather than go out. Don't watch too many t.v. programs other than sportscenter, weatherchannel, animal planet and comedy central. Love playing College Football on Playstation II. Love to cook. I guess it's the aroma, conversation and of course the wine.....but i don't do that with just anyone. Love traveling, especially to new places. Love to jog, Love comedy clubs, Love to spin records, Hate to carry them. Happy about the invention of CDJ's (800's are better than 1000's how bout that?) Love Deep, Soulful House Music!!! Love Life. I'd like to meet:Those who can cultivate talent......DJ Life was adopted at birth from the San Carlos Apache Reservation and relocated with new his family to the rural central California town of Tulare. Growing up the son of a minister, he learned to play the drums at the age of four. Life grew up playing in church on Sunday mornings as well as traveling the southwest United States with his father’s gospel band every summer for nearly 10 years. It provided a great fundamental understanding of rhythm and exposed him to music that would later become a catalyst for his interest in the turntables and the art of DJ’ing. After years of record collecting and mixing in the Bay Area club scene, Life was ready when opportunity came knocking to leave the state and play nationally as well as internationally. First, he was invited to Kiev, Ukraine where he became a resident for 4 months at Club Playoffs, often spinning 6 hour deep house sets to more than 600 partygoers nightly. After returning to the Bay Area, he was booked to play two parties in Tampa Bay, Florida as part of the Super Bowl XXXV festivities. As a result of his performances Life was invited back as a resident at Sacks Supper Club for 5 months playing Hip Hop, R&B and Deep House to packed crowds every Friday and Saturday night. He relocated to Los Angeles in 2003 and began spinning weekly at The Room in Hollywood, The Standard Hotel both on Sunset Blvd and The Downtown Rooftop Lounge. He has performed with Hip Hop act M.E.R.L. as their DJ at The Key Club and several other venues in Los Angeles. In October of 2006 DJ Life rocked the crowd playing a two hour set at The CW Network Release Party at Warner Brothers Studio. He was also selected to spin a set at the Amoeba Music Holiday Party and at the Red Bull B-Boy Summit held at the fabulous Hollywood Cabana Club. Currently, Life is a resident at The Standard Hotel Holding down Friday Nights on The Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA. Life has also released 9 mixed CD’s that have sold over 3500 units in the past two and a half years. Now, with three newer titles “Good Karma Pt's I, II and III" (available exclusively at Amoeba Music Hollywood) DJ Life continues to move forward rocking the crowds with smooth blends and cutting edge sounds from his own production which is currently being finalized and prepared for release in early 2008. Two new tracks produced by Life appear on his latest Deep House Mix "The Baby Powder Chronicles Pt 1". It is available at Amoeba Music Hollywood, CA only. Television:College football on Saturday morning while laying in bed or after push ups and crunches!! Monday Night Football. Just because i usually bar b que before kick off and it's the only game on. Plus, i bet on games so it's always a big game for me(hahahaha). What's the spread, who's at home? I watch a lot of Discovery Channel. Animals are fresh. |

Books:Read Bill Belichick and Jon Gruden's books about their experiences while becoming NFL coaches and winning the Super Bowl. I have the ultimate goal of becoming an NFL coach. I really learned more about leading by listening. Both books i recommend especially to those who don't really know about football. It really is a game more about life and meeting challenges. Currently reading "The Alchemist", "The Way 2 Love", "Things Fall Apart" and the book of Kings in the Bible (when i need some direction). |

Heroes:Johnny and Sandra Graham adopted me at birth. By far.....my biggest hero's. Thanks Mom and Dad! But can't forget spider man, thought i was him when i was 8. Guess i was the Flash the entire time (check my super hero personality test at the top). Ah well, tights are tights right? I was actually down with Mighty Mouse first though. |
