| La band nasce nel lontano giugno del 2000 ed è composta da Luca (basso), Giulio (batteria e percussioni), Stefano (tastiere) e Gabriele (chitarra e voce). Dopo mesi di prove, il gruppo trova finalmente un cantante ed inizia ad esibirsi in diversi locali della zona tra le province di Mantova, Cremona e Parma, proponendo cover rock anni ’70-’80-’90. La svolta avviene nell’estate 2003 quando la voce viene sostituita da Mattia. Con il nuovo ingresso la band trova nuovi stimoli e decide contemporaneamente di portare avanti oltre al progetto cover anche il progetto di scrivere pezzi propri. Dopo lo strepitoso successo del “Birragone rivarolese 2006” (più di 2000 persone), gli Upnea si “chiudono” in sala per un anno intero e nel giugno 2007 nasce il primo album dal titolo “First Track”. Con un’esibizione degna di nota il 30 giugno 2007 presso il piccolo paese di origine della band, Rivarolo Mantovano, gli Upnea propongono tutto il loro album facendo uno show senza sbavature e presentandosi ai fan nel migliore dei modi. Il successo dell'album porta il gruppo a partecipare ad una mini tourneè in Polonia nel gennaio del 2008, durante la quale oltre ad esibizioni in alcuni locali di Poznan e Varsavia, la band ha partecipato, vantando un'apparizione nella programmazione della televisione si stato, al WOSP, una manifestazione di beneficenza di importanza nazionale che nel 2008 è riuscita a raccogliere 32 milioni di dollari da destinarsi a programmi di assistenza a bambini in difficoltà. The band was founded back in June 2000. Band members are: Luca (bass), Giulio (drums and percussion instruments) and Stefano (keyboards), and Gabriele (vocals/ guitar). After a few months of rehearsal, the band found at last a singer and started performing around different places in the area, in the province of Mantua, Cremona and Parma, playing a selection of cover versions of rock tracks from the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s. New lead singer Mattia marked a turning point for the band in summer 2003, representing an incentive for the band to continue with a cover project in sync with the purpose of writing their own songs. Following the roaring success of “Birragone Rivarolese 2006” (which attracted over 2000 people), Upnea “retired” for a whole year, working in a recording studio. In June 2007 the band released their first album called “First Track”. On 30 June 2007 Upnea staged an impressive performance at ‘Sala Polivalente’ in Rivarolo Mantovano, where they performed their entire album during a flawless show before their fans. Zespol postal w czerwcu 2000 roku i skladal sie z nastepujacych osob: Luca (bas), Giulio (perkusja), Stefano (key-board) i Gabriele (gitara elektryczna i wokal). W koncu po kilku miesiacach prob znajduja wokaliste i zaczynaja stawiac swoje pierwsze kroki w srodowisku muzycznym, grajac w roznych lokalach w prowincji: Mantova, Cremona, Parma i proponujac cover rock z lat ’70-’80-’90. Przelom w zespole nastepuje w lecie 2003 roku, kiedy to pierwszy wokalista grupy zostal zastapiony nowym – Mattia. UPNEA ze swiezymi pomyslami postanowia sprobowac swoich sil i zaczac tworzy oryginalna muzyke. Po glosnym sukcesie podczas festiwalu “ Birragone Rivarolese 2006” (ponad 2000 osob) band na caly rok “ zamyka sie” w sali prob, aby w czerwcu 2007 roku powstal ich pierwszy album “ First Track”. 30 czerwca 2007 roku w sali koncertowej w Rivarolo Mantovano zostala zaprezentowana fanom w sposob spektakularny nowa plyta. |
