| English translation Khaa has a happy go lucky artist..s soul and wanders around in her small town of Mariefred in Sweden, always humming on a song. Has her own little childrens theater where she is a storyteller with a wand. Reads Elsa Beskow..s books and takes the children into the storybook world. Works at the local paper, does some small "scoops", takes photographs and sells advertising. Grew up with a jazz musician as a father, contra base player Gunnar "Ankan" Almstedt. As a child in the 50..s and 60..s she went on tours many times with her dad when he accompanied Monica Zetterlund, Siv Malmqvist, Alice Babs, Anita Soderberg and many more singers. They fed her soul "their melodies and songs". Education: 1998 anthropological body theater kulturama: various courses 2000 folkuniversitetet: singer/songwriter courses Everything came together for her at that time, her creativity started to flow, text and music came to life. The texts are very personal, about her life. She hears the music in her head, sings the melody and describes the arrangement for Stefan Lengstrand at www.tricktrack.se (the studio). After each song she becomes very emotional and cries from happiness. Spring 2001 after three months of hard work and seventeen new songs, with Goran Blomqvist at the piano, the duo toured churches and culture festivals around Sodermanland. In 2002 she stopped working with the pianist in order to start her childrens theater project and to try other artistic endeavour,. Her writing continued slowly. Summer of 2006 she started to write together with the guitarrist Johan Brise, they wrote several "country-pop-blues". In 2007 a couple of great sessions were made with khaas songs, accompanied by the master accordion player Henning Hendrix. She is about to start rehearsing with new musicians any day now. Som barn var hon med på många turneer på 50-60-talet med Monica Zetterlund, Siv Malmqvist, Alice Babs och Anita Söderberg med flera. De gav tonerna och sångerna till henne. Teater utbildning på Antroposofisk kroppsteater år 1998, därefter Kulturamas olika teater kurser. År 2000 en Singer/Songwriter utbildning (folkuniversitet), där lossnade all kreativitet för ord och musik, texterna är väldigt personliga och handlar mycket om hennes liv. Musiken gör hon i huvudet, sjunger upp sin melodi och beskriver ett arrangemang för Stefan Lengstrand på www.tricktrack.se (studion). Efter varje låt blir hon så känslosam och gråter av lycka!Våren 2001 efter tre månaders hårt slit och sjutton nyskrivna låter med Göran Blomqvist på piano, gav duon sig ut på en liten turné i kyrkor och kulturfestivaler runt om i Södermanland. Samarbetet med pianisten lades ner år 2002 för att starta upp sin barnteaterverksamhet och för att prova på en massa olika konstnärliga projekt. Skrivandet fortsatte men i lugn takt. Sommaren 2006 började låtskrivarsamarbete med gittaristen Johan Brise, det blev många alster lite åt country-pop-blues. År 2007 gjordes Ett par härliga ”sessions” med khaas låtar, kompad av dragspelets ”old man” Henning Hendrix. Är nu i startgroparna att börja repa in med nya musiker. | |
