Named after an 80s video game, where two guys in white singlets and jeans got in fights on the mean streets, trying to claim back the girlie of one of them (can't remember if it was the blondes or the brunettes) who had been taken. And after spending their childhoods playing this game, DD emerge from their London bunker to once again walk around the streets and fuck shit up. Sounding like a bad mix of Stooges, Thin Lizzy, The Clash and The Hives on uppers, they just wanna get some free beers and maybe a couple of chicks' phone numbers. They write about life on the streets of London - 'Trapped in the Tube', '20P2P', 'The Rat', 'Coffee Drone', 'My Page 3 Girl' - no money, no hope, no talent. But at least they're honest. And remember kids, aim low and you've got more chance of acheiving your goals. |
