About Me |

| Born in St-Petersburg, Russia, Maria studied piano, composition and conducting at the Rimsky-Korsakov Music College. She then went to study composition at the st-Petersburg Conservatoire where she was a pupil of the legendary russian composer Sergey Slonimsky.
In 1994-1995 she worked as a composer for the russian TV (Channel 5).
In 2002 Maria moved to London where she continued her career as a composer and pianist.
In 2006 she was awarded scholarship to study for a Master Degree in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music where she has been studying with David Burnand and currently with Mike McEvoy. Among her recent projects is a documentary for the South American TV and collaboration with London Film School which resulted in 5 short films, which where shown at the National Gallery.
