Layout by CoolChaser“ABOUT ME” My name is Matt, I am a celebrity booking agent (meaning people pay me to have celebrities host corporate & private events) & I own a small marketing company that organizes national promotional tours featuring popular celebrities. Basically I throw parties with famous people and do everything I can not to have a 9 to 5 job. I moved to Austin 4 years ago and my life in Texas has been a blasty. So many things have changed since I have arrived in Austin, friends & lovers have moved on to grown up things like marriage & children. I however, haven’t found the path to adult righteousness just yet, lost time & mistakes have made it hard to move on from this insane youthful existence.The idea of growing up isn’t so bad if it’s wrapped in the right package. I’m 28 now and there is definitely a crossroad coming up soon. I love doing what I do, it makes me happy to have the freedom to do or not do, as I please. Donald Trump said it best; “Deals are my art form. Other people paint beautifully on canvas or write wonderful poetry. I like making deals, preferably big deals. That’s how I get my kicks”I feel 2008 has many new things in store for me & those closest to me. I am in the middle of starting a new program geared toward children grades 6 to 12 using celebrities to promote anti-drug & anti alcohol abuse initiatives. I am excited to add this program to my company’s roster, because it’s not just another party, it’s supporting a good cause. My immediate goals are to be a fiercer friend, better listener & stronger man for my friends & family. I have a tendency to let the wrong people into my life for the right reasons & don’t let the right people in for the wrong reasons.I recently took some time off to experiment in some of life’s ultimate indulgences and in doing so I have learned some crucial life lessons. You can’t save anyone who doesn’t want to be saved, even if you need to save someone to save yourself and love is the biggest bitch & she will never diet or go to the gym.
