It used to come down to Owen Michael Jones, who played the guitar, sang and wrote the songs. After searching for another guitarist, he found Ahren Ross Barbour. After doing most of their writing and recording in between stints at uni and doing jobs to earn some cash, the pair spent their Christmas of 2007 recording their first EP on the quiet, entitled Tell Me Your Stories. They did it all their own way and put the EP on general release through iTunes in April 2008. Ross has taken an indefinite break from the band to play drums for Southampton-based band 'Burn The Fleet'. Go check them out! Owen continues on with meanwhile... with Rob Barbour joining the outfit. A drummer and Lead guitarist will hopefully join soon, and this autumn, meanwhile... will hopefully be coming to a town near you! Meanwhile' are one of those bands who when they start playing you're a little worried but as the songs get into full flow there is something very catching about their sound.Vocalist Owen Michael Jones has somewhat soothing voice, especially during indie ballad 'Retrospect.' When the boys move into their heavier side they do, especially in the chorus of 'Heard It All Before,' sound very much like Fightstar – especially vocally... There is enough in their material to showcase their potential. OWEN: Long story short, I started playing the drums when I was in year 8, and fell in love with music Then about 4 years ago really wanted to start writing songs, so I picked up a guitar and taught myself. Now I'm at Uni and I am still teaching myself new things everyday. ROB: My acid sweat makes guitar strings disintegrate and I very often do and say things which I immediately regret.
