*PRIDE* (Lucifer - lion) Of the Seven Deadly Sins in Catholicism, which do you think is the gravest? It's not Wrath, Envy, or Lust... it is Pride! Why? Because once upon a time there dwelt in heaven the most beautiful and powerful of all the angels, who loved only himself and dared to challenge God. It was his pride that triggered that infamous rebellion, the great war in heaven that cast him and his followers into Hell. Because pride is unique among the seven deadly sins in that it makes us think for ourselves, and therefore poses the only true threat to God's unquestioned authority. Pride: The First and Worst Sin By Steve Gerali Gregory the Great described it as the “Queen of the vices.” Aquinas called it “the first sin, the source of all other sins, and the worst sin.” Augustine of Hippo wrote that it is “the commencement of sin because it was this that overthrew the devil, from whom arose the origin of sin.” St. John Cassian said that so great is this evil that “it rightly has no angel, nor other virtues opposed to it, but God Himself as its adversary.” Evagrius says that it is the “cause of the most grievous fall of the soul.” The early church fathers agreed that of the seven soul-destroying sins, the most deadly was the sin of pride. Dante's definition was "love of self perverted to hatred and contempt for one's neighbor." In Jacob Bidermann's medieval miracle play, Cenodoxus, Pride is the deadliest of all the sins and leads directly to the damnation of the famed Doctor of Paris, Cenodoxus. In perhaps the most famous example, the story of Lucifer, Pride was what caused his Fall from Heaven, and his resultant transformation into Satan. Vanity and Narcissism are prime examples of this. WE ARE ALL APART OF THIS ABSTRACT PUZZLE AND WITHOUT ALL THE PIECES THE REAL PICTURE DOESNT EXSIST... I created a world and I WILL continue to create...
