| Chazz Williams is a Nashville artist with a unique style of inspirational instrumental music. Being a native of Chicago, his music reflects elements of the Chicago smooth Jazz sound. While living in Chicago, Chazz founded his own organization called Outer Court Praise. According to Chazz, a gifted saxophonist and percussionist, "music should evolve as the artist grows, it should express the heart, loves and experiences of the player. I believe my music very simply expresses Devine love..." This is evidenced in his smooth jazz saxophone stylings. Chazz has performed solo concerts across the United States and abroad. He has appeared on the BET JAZZ NETWORK, the Chicago Bears Telethon on TV38, and Bobby Jones Gospel television show. Chazz has also performed for President Bill Clinton, on the nationally televised PBS special, IN PERFORMANCE AT THE WHITE HOUSE. Additionally he's toured as a member of the CeCe Winans band doubling saxophones and percussion. Chazz has opened for renowned poet and author Maya Angelou and has performed before Chicago Bulls' Michael Jordan, at his Chicago Fundraising Gala. He has shared concert stages with such artists as Anita Baker, Joshua Redmond, The O'JAYS, Fred Hammond and THE WINANS. He has been side-man for Israel Houghton, Michael English, Shirley Ceasar, Kim Burrell and The Soul Children of Chicago, to name a few. Chazz has performed concerts in the Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Cozumel Mexico. He has also performed sold out concerts in some of Chicago's finest concert halls. Included are Park West, the CIVIC THEATER, the BLACKSTONE HOTEL and HOTEL NIKKO.Currently working on his much anticipated solo recording due out early this summer, Chazz continues to delight audiences with his hot live performances.For over a decade, countless lives have been touched, as they have shared in the musical excitement of Chazz Williams!!! | |
