Let’ s try just for a while to imagine the world without the music……. The Albert Hera’s experience brings us with the feet on the ground: an artist who lives the music in every moment of his own existence; a sensitive and deep singer who has the natural ability to give enthusiasm and happiness through a personal artistic language; a fantastic voice’s teacher who climbs down his pedestal to know the person in front of him, to help person to discover and recover his art, his own voice. However,it deal with not only of art. The song need of a costant training and study: the Bel Canto is just in the right middle between art and technique.

To achieve a compromise between these two aspects ( art and technique), Albert Hera has spent years of his life studying the voice with some of the best teachers of Italian lyrical singing.Then he has dedicated, with the ethnomusicologist Tran Quang Hai, to the mastering of the concepts of the double-phonic song (that allows the reproduction of more simultaneous sounds with a single formant), and to the research of sounds belonging to different cultures, discovering in this way the fundamental role of knowledge of vocal anthropology in the training and in the growth’s path of a singer.

The years of study and research have allowed Albert Hera to develop his own identity in musical field and a personal philosophy of teaching: "The natural voice" proposes a vision of the song as free emission-expression,at the basis of which is fundamental a scrupulous research of coordination and a tuning acoustic of the pure sound, in order to generate a global harmony between body and mind.

In 2002 Albert Hera feels the need to make known publicly his own thought through the creation of the first portal on the voice: www.voiceart.net. More specifically,the portal is born to promote and spread the application of the main artistic forms, such as the voice in all its expressions, the music, dance, theatre, the painting, literature,and its aim is the spreading and the protection of the purity of the art and culture.

The growth of the singer goes hand in hand with teacher’s experience: Albert Hera has been a professor of modern voice in many schools of musicin Italy; currently he is teaching modern voice and he’s responsible for the Vocal Department at the Civic College V. Baravalle Fossano. In the same school, he is the organizer of the important European project about choral music, beside the Professor Andrea figallo. The didactic project is proposed not only within institute, but also in master classes, seminars and workshops of vocal technique and choral improvisation in many Italian schools, included an important monthly appointment at the school “L’Ottava” of Rome; appointments of training and mastering based on teacher’s vocal thought .

“Positive consciousness” is the title of his first album of experimental music released in 2005; an album that collects years of research and experiments, eight works performed,leaving any demonstrative and didactic form, vices of form that often make difficult the assimilation; eight pieces that demonstrate his cleverness, the preparation and the genius of one of the best artists of the International experimental scene . The songs in tne album are restated, alongside other pieces of equal intensity and beauty, within the artist’s concerts: three aspect meet and interweave each other and make the show an explosion of energy and vitality: first of all, the strong link with the world of the trials of Demetrio Stratos, in addition to the concept of "one man band" peculiar to BobbyMc Ferrin. The last and crucial element of the show is the inclusion of the personality of Albert Hera, his experience in the field of the vocal anthropology,the extreme sensitivity and the artistic and human expressiveness; to complete the picture, there is the presence of an instrument that accompanies Hera since he was eight years old: the soprano sax. The concert boasts the presence of Peter Ponzone,a drummer and percussionist with a great experience, and a choir made up of seven elements, with the task to show the public the concept of choral improvisation naturally conducted and controlled by main figure of the show. An extremely particular concert, outside the usual concept of live music; a show where there is a great desire to make music, singing; a space in which are expressed the concepts of artistic essence and the vocal unicity , simplicity and love towards what is defined as the "World singing".

Provate solamente per un secondo ad immaginare il mondo senza la musica…….
L’esperienza di Albert Hera ci riporta con i piedi per terra: un artista che vive la musica in ogni istante della propria esistenza; un cantante sensibile e profondo che possiede la naturale capacità di regalare entusiasmo e felicità attraverso un personale linguaggio artistico; un fantastico insegnante di canto che scende dal suo piedistallo per conoscere la persona che ha di fronte, per aiutarla a scoprire e recuperare la propria arte, la propria voce.
Non si tratta però solamente di arte. Il canto ha bisogno di costanza nell’allenamento e nello studio: il bel canto sta appunto nel giusto mezzo fra arte e tecnica. Proprio per raggiungere quel compromesso fra l’aspetto artistico e quello tecnico, Albert Hera ha trascorso anni della sua vita studiando canto con alcuni fra i migliori insegnanti italiani di canto lirico. Si è poi dedicato, con l’etnomusicologo Tran Quang Hai, all’approfondimento dei concetti del canto difonico che permette la riproduzione di più suoni simultanei con una sola formante, e alla ricerca di sonorità appartenenti a culture differenti, scoprendo così il ruolo fondamentale della conoscenza dell’antropologia vocale nella formazione e nel cammino di crescita di un cantante.

Gli anni di studi e di ricerche hanno permesso ad Albert Hera di sviluppare una propria identità in ambito musicale e una personale filosofia sulla didattica: “Il Cantar Naturale” propone una visione del canto come emissione libera, alla base della quale risulta fondamentale la ricerca scrupolosa di una coordinazione e sintonizzazione acustica del suono puro, al fine di generare una globale armonia tra corpo e mente.
È nel 2002 che Albert Hera sente la necessità di far conoscere pubblicamente il proprio pensiero attraverso la creazione del primo portale sulla voce: www.voiceart.net . Più precisamente il portale nasce per promuovere e diffondere l’applicazione delle principali forme artistiche, quali la voce in tutte le sue espressioni, la musica, la danza, il teatro, la pittura, la letteratura e ha come scopo la divulgazione e la salvaguardia della purezza dell’arte e della cultura.
La crescita del cantante va di pari passo con quella d’insegnante: Albert Hera è stato docente di canto moderno presso numerose scuole di musica d’Italia, attualmente è docente di canto moderno e responsabile del dipartimento di vocalità presso l’ Istituto Civico V. Baravalle di Fossano ; nella medesima scuola, è organizzatore di un importante progetto europeo sulla coralità, accanto al professor Andrea Figallo . Il progetto didattico è proposto non solamente all’interno dell’Istituto, ma anche in masterclass, seminari e workshop di tecnica vocale e d’improvvisazione corale in molte scuole italiane, citiamo un importante appuntamento mensile presso la scuola l' Ottava di Roma ; appuntamenti di formazione e approfondimento che si basano sul pensiero vocale dell’insegnante.
“Positive Consciousness” è il titolo del suo primo album di musica sperimentale uscito nel 2005; un disco che raccoglie anni di ricerca e di esperimenti, otto brani eseguiti lasciando da parte qualsiasi forma dimostrativa e didattica, vizi di forma che spesso rendono queste tipologie progettuali di difficile assimilazione; otto brani che dimostrano la bravura, la preparazione e il guizzante genio di uno dei migliori artisti della scena sperimentale internazionale. Le canzoni presenti nell’album sono riproposte, accanto ad altri brani di pari intensità e bellezza, all’interno dei concerti dell’artista, nei quali si incontrano e si intrecciano tre aspetti che rendono lo spettacolo un’esplosione d’energia e vitalità: in primo luogo il forte legame con il mondo delle sperimentazioni di Demetrio Stratos, al quale si aggiunge il concetto di “One Man Band” proprio di Bobby McFerrin . L’ultimo e fondamentale elemento dello spettacolo è l’inserimento dei caratteri personali di Albert Hera, della sua esperienza nel campo dell’antropologia vocale, dell’estrema sensibilità ed espressività artistica ed umana; a completare il tutto la presenza di uno strumento che accompagna Hera dall’età di otto anni: il sax soprano. Il concerto vanta la presenza di Pietro Ponzone, percussionista e batterista di grande esperienza, e di un coro formato da sette elementi, con il compito di mostrare al pubblico il concetto di improvvisazione corale naturalmente diretta e controllata dalla figura principale dello spettacolo.
Un concerto estremamente particolare, al di fuori della solita concezione di live music; uno spettacolo in cui emerge una gran voglia di fare musica, di cantare; uno spazio in cui vengono espressi i concetti artistici di essenza e unicità vocale, di semplicità ed amore verso quello che viene definito il “Mondo Canto”.
