| Picap va néixer oficialment a la primavera de 1984, que és quan es van editar els primers discos, però la primera oficina de Picap es va obrir el març del 83, de la mà d’en Joan-Carles Doval professional del món discogrà fic català que tenia gran motivació per engendrar un projecte propi. L’idea inicial que s’ha mantingut al llarg dels anys és la de donar suport i treballar el més conjuntament possible amb els intèrprets i autors del nostre paÃs, respectant la seva expressió lingüÃstica, però donant un suport preferencial a la nostra llengua. Amb el temps, també han obert una lÃnia de música llatina de molt alta qualitat.Picap ha obtingut el reconeixement de diverses institucions i mitjans públics i sobre tot de la societat que a través de la compra dels discos editats ha fet possible aquest projecte, que hem de seguir fent possible dia a dia. Picap és una empresa jove, pel temps i per l’esperit, però sobre tot per l’equip de professionals que la formen, gent jove amb professionalitat, il•lusió amb una mirada sempre cap el futur, l’esperit innovador impregna les parets de casa nostra. Estem treballant per fer-vos arribar allò que més us interessa i de la manera que més us interessa i també tot allò que els bons creatius musicals d’aquest paÃs estant elaborant i que vosaltres mereixeu poder-ne gaudir. ------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------PICAP,S.L. was officially founded in the spring of 1984, which is when we put out our first CDs, although the Picap label’s office was actually opened in March of the previous year. The person behind all of this was Joan-Carles Doval, a professional discographer on the Catalan music scene who was highly motivated to launch his own project. The initial idea was and continues to be that of providing support to performers and creators from our country and working as closely as possible with them, respecting their choice of language but providing preferential support to creations in the Catalan language. We also offer a high-quality Latin-American line of music, which we started some time ago.Picap has gained the recognition of various public institutions and media, but above all, of society at large, namely, those of you who have made this project possible by purchasing the albums we publish, allowing us to continue providing excellent music. Picap is a young company, in age and spirit, but above all with regard to our team – young people who are professional, enthusiastic and always looking to the future, impregnating our company with an innovative spirit. We are working to supply you with what most interests you in the best possible manner, as well as allowing you the opportunity to discover good musical creations emerging from this country.----------------------------------------------------
