Coming from the serene Himalayas of Darjeeling, his Music carries its freshness and purity. A glance at this simple and humble man will leave one shocked and gasping for more at what he produces off and on stage. Nominated for the Best Keyboard Player in the JACK DANIEL’S AWARD 2006 -2007, He is presently performing with India’s most popular and foremost band of the country, SILK ROUTE and has come a long way from his first performance at the age of six with a professional orchestra. He is driven by his passion for Jazz and Blues and what one cannot ignore is that he has performed in all genres of Music – Rock, Contemporary Indian and Western music, Popular, Western Classical, Fusion, Country, Reggae and Folk.A constant performer from his school and college days he has played with some of the most well known and celebrated Artists and Bands of India:SILK ROUTE, BANDISH, LEVEL 9, NAKSHATRA, PARIKRAMA, COLLEGIUM, Sitar Maestro PRATEEK CHAUDHURI, REINCARNATION, PRALAYA, to name a few. He has performed in different parts of India including Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Calcutta, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Dharamshala, Nagaland, Darjeeling, etc.He has secured Distinction in Theory of Music from Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), London and is presently pursuing grade VIII in Solo Piano from Trinity College of London. Vishal has also been a Professional Consultant in Music with various Institutes – Theme Piano School ( GK and Gurgaon), Parikrama Music School, The Heritage School, Blue Bells International New Delhi, St Joseph’s Convent, Kalimpong, Mount Hermon School, Darjeeling, Birch Hill Academy, Darjeeling.Besides performing he is also into Composing, Arranging and Producing music for jingles, documentaries, films and albums. |
