| I write books on different subjects. 18 of my books have been published and the latest one - Ghosts In The Cemetery - is at the publishers. Most have to do with different collectibles - Halloween, Halley's Comet, Fountain Pens, Flashlights (I was a guest on the Martha Stewart Show), The Space Race, Picture and Photo frames, Cigarette Lighters, Ball Point Pens, and Fluorescent Minerals. I was a photographer before going to Law School and take the photos for my books.
My enjoyment of cemeteries convinced me of the need for a book on cemetery photography. It had to be a bit different, so the cemetery photos are nighttime photos and have ghosts in them. To fill it out, I wrote original ghost stories to go along with the photos. It is an interesting book. My inspiration is Jorges Luis Borges, the Argentinian author. I kept this theme in mind. My book "Ghosts In The Cemetery" is designed to subvert, often with gentle humor, our comforting presuppositions about ourselves, our place in the universe, or the intelligibility of the material universe itself, that is, if it is in fact something other than a dream. There is no difference between fiction and fact; created reality is as real as observed reality and vice versa; any attempt on our part to describe reality is bound to be a fiction. I learned website design and created a large website that covers my different interests - Fluorescent minerals, Halloween, Cemeteries, Travel photos, Friends, Comets, Waffles, and Flashlights. It is located at www dot wordcraft dot net. Life it too short to waste so I try to find new and unusual things to do and people to meet. Hopefully, I will keep meeting new friends with interests that expand my appreciation of different things. I love original artwork, so I encourage everyone to post original pieces here in my Comments (I call it my Gallery) section. |
