| Johnny Perez Trio está formado por: Johnny Pérez (guitarra y voz), Miki Santamaria (bajo eléctrico) y Xavi Tomàs (batería). Está previsto que a finales del 2007 se edite el primer disco de la formación, de nombre "Life by the drop". Se trata de un tributo a Stevie Ray Vaughan e incluye un total de 13 temas: Boot hill, Empty arms, Sky is crying, All your love I miss loving, Let me love you baby, Tell me, Honey bee, Tin Pan Alley, Chitlins con carne, Rude mood, Things that I used to do, Superstition y Life by the drop. El disco cuenta con la colaboración de varios artistas destacados en el panorama blues barcelonés como The Walking Stick Man, Hernán Senra "Chino", Demian, Tota, David Sam o Sergi Escriu.
