| the|phamtree I am an mcee, singer and producer. I mainly play and record with my number 1 project "The Phamtree" but also do tracks with 12 Finger Dan of Soulbrotha and work on solo projects as well. My productions are very diverse, unique and have a high recall value as I was told - haha. I surely do care about that a little but there is truly nothing more important than a phat beat straight from the soul. I love to combine some crackling old samples with an intense and rough beat with a deep rollin’ bassline but besides sampling I also deal with real instruments. I learned piano and guitar and taught myself to play the drums. I ain’t the best at it but I ain’t the worst either! haha. Started rapping in 1996 and build my first beats around that same time. I have been playing a whole big load of shows in the last 10 years - probably way more than I ever spend time recording my songs or doing my studies back in the days when I went to school. I featured various live projects, went from the smallest to pretty much the largest venues of Germany and worked together with various artist during the last years. I often performed with Hamburgs HipHop Combo "Dobbel", opened up for k-os (CA) in 2005 and for Illicit (NL) in 2008. My upcoming releases will be on the Soulbrotha sampler and the very first The Phamtree album. I grew up in Hamburg, Germany where I still live nowadays.
