What is Menion? Menion is an independent artist, a guitar player, a composer of musical images, born on an island in the Mediterranean sea: Sardinia. The “Stories of vegetable gardens and explorers” project is an attempt to narrate through sounds the experiences and the sensations of life. Menion is like a small vegetable garden… He is a farmer who patiently cultivates himself and becomes an explorer when he feels the need to look for new seeds to grow… He moves between depth and surface: this is his movement… his mutation… this is his game… He ignores the difference between reality and unreal…everything can be used in his creative strategy… Menion thinks himself… Menion reflects himself… his life is anomalous and imperfect, ironic and good humour. His musical intention is to transform the acoustic sound into electronic sound and viceversa…he defines his music as “ethnic-imaginary”… Menion is willing to collaborate with painters, photographers, sculptors, plants, animals and with any other element and expression of art! Menion’s live performances: He goes on show alone or with other musicians and is open to all kinds of experiments and contributions; in his live shows he performs his established music but also allows improvisation according to the environment and vibe of the moment… When possible he plays and shows interactive videos together… Instruments and set-up: Acoustic guitar, electric guitar and lap steel guitar.
